Why fixed tiers and not a sliding calculator?
Because sliding calculators are a lie. We've shipped enough projects to know what they actually cost. Fixed tiers force us to be honest about scope on day one — you know your budget, we know our deliverables, and there's no surprise invoice in week 8.
Is the £1,999 Startup tier really the same engineering?
Yes. Same Next.js build, same hosting-grade code, same ownership terms — you get the source code, designs and content. The differences are scope and finish: 15 pages instead of 30, brand-applied design from your existing logo and colours rather than a from-scratch identity, and standard integrations (form + analytics) instead of bespoke ones. Built for founders who need something real to launch with, on a real budget.
What if my project doesn't fit any of these?
Most don't, exactly. The strategy call is where we map your actual needs onto the closest tier (or scope a bespoke build if you're outside the box). You leave the call with a number, a timeline, and a clear plan — paid or otherwise.
Are there extra fees I should know about?
Third-party costs you'd pay anyway — domain, hosting if you self-host, Stripe / Twilio / OpenAI usage, paid SaaS you ask us to integrate. We list every one of them on the strategy call before you sign anything. Our fee is the fee.
Do you do hourly or retainer work?
Not for new projects. Hourly work attracts scope creep on both sides. After launch, the Care plan covers ongoing work at a flat monthly rate, or you can come back for a fixed-scope phase 2.
What about ongoing AI / model usage costs?
Pass-through. We bill OpenAI, Anthropic, ElevenLabs etc. usage at cost (no markup) and show you the live monthly spend. We also tune prompts and routes to keep cost down — that's part of our job, not extra billing.
